SOE12693 – Knockhall Chase, Greenhithe

Update: 28.10.2024
We have completed works on Mounts Road.  We are just waiting for reinstatement to be completed and this road will be cleared of all barriers.

We are now going into Knockhall Road starting at the junction of Eynsford Road.  We aim for these works to be completed in 3 weeks.  After completing these works the whole area of Greenhithe will be upgraded with new PE Pipe.

Update: 11.10.2024
We are currently working on Mounts Road in which we are aiming to complete this section within 2 weeks.

After completing Mounts Road, we will then return into Knockhall Road to finish our works in the area for approximately another 3 weeks and then we will be fully complete the whole of the gas main replacement in Greenhithe.

Update: 25.09.2024
Knockhall Chase should be fully completed and clear by 27.09.24. Our works have continued onto Mounts Road in which we are aiming to complete this section within 4 weeks.

After completing Mounts Road, we will then return into Knockhall Road to finish our works in the area for approximately another 3 weeks and then we will be fully complete.

We are making steady progress replacing both the 8 inch and 4-inch Gas main. In two weeks’, time we are aiming to have both gas mains competed from The Crescent to the junction of Knockhall Road. We will continue our works onto Knockhall Road in which we will have a physical closure point along this road.

We are making steady progress replacing both the 8 inch and 4 inch Gas main. This week we are aiming to have both gas mains competed from The Crescent to the junction of Knockhall Road. We will be closing Knockhall road for works ready to commence 02/09/2024. However, Eynsford Road, Knockhall chase and Alexander Road will be accessible while we complete the remaining works on Knockhall Road.

We are making steady progress replacing both the 8 inch and 4 inch Gas main. This week we are aiming to have both gas mains competed from Eynsford road junction to The Crescent with any final connections to be completed the following week. We will have the final section to complete before schools return from the Crescent to Knockhall Road.

Update: 31.07.2024
We are continuing to investigate the full extent of both mains. We are on phase one and aim to be on phase two w/c 05.08.2024, we will also be making the connection from Knockhall Chase into Eynsford Road the same week.

Update: 05.07.2024
We have two metallic gas mains that are being replaced a smaller 4in main and a 8in feeder main, we will be inserting both mains totalling to 1100m of gas mains replacement.

This will be under a phased road closure starting from the junction of London road and working towards the junction of Eynsford road for our first phase. Our next phase will see us closing between Eynsford Road and Knockhall Road closing the side junctions as required.
