Our team have completed 90% of the mains on this project. We have the final section from Elmstead Close to London Road to complete along with replacing the old metallic main in Baden Powell Road. The team have made great progress on this project and we aim to be off this road and have it re-opened by 09/09/2024.

Our team have completed 75% of the mains on this project, we have the final section from Chesterfield Drive to London Road as well as the two side roads of Baden Powell Road and Elmstead Close to complete in the coming weeks. The team have made great progress on this project.

Our team are making great progress on this project, currently we have inserted over 350m of Polyethylene gas pipe and this week we are aiming to decommission the pipe this is inserted through. W/c 05.08.2024 we should be working from Chesterfield Drive to Bullfinch Corner and prepping Elmstead Close and Baden Powell Road.
Update: 05.07.2024
We have a poor condition metallic gas main that is being replaced from the junction of Chipstead Lane to the junction of London Road. This will be a rolling road closure that will follow our works area as we progress along the road.
This gas main has recently had multiple leaks and is a priority to be replaced.
