SOE15265 – Buckland Road, Reigate (Reigate Hill)

We currently have two teams working on this project.

Works are progressing well and the closure will be deinstalled Sunday at 2pm. 

Update: 29.07.2025

Works are progressing well but the gas main is in a very bad state and our pushes are now shorter, we anticipate we will be here the full 4 weeks.

Update: 08.07.2025

We are due to shut Reigate Hill on 21.07.25 southbound from Raglan Road to the junction of Somers Road, northbound traffic will still have access. We will have 2 teams working here due to it being a major road.

Update: 03.06.2025

Beaufort Close – The team have finished all engineering works on Beaufort Close and our closure that was in place on Beaufort Road has been removed.

This week will see our reinstatement team finish off all open excavations and all barriers removed by the 4th of June.

Brokes Road – We have now moved our closure to the junction of Beech Road to finish the last stage of our works.

We are looking to be engineering complete WC 02/06/2025.

Update 20.05.2025

Beaufort Close – The team working on Beaufort Close, are aiming to be completed engineering wise W/c 19th May.
Reinstatement will still be taking place for approximately a week and then all of the site and closure will be removed.

Works in Saxon Way, will need to be replanned for another date most likely in the summer holidays which will also be under a road closure.

Brokes Road – Our WCB Utilities team are moving the location of the closure on Brokes Road to the junction of St Albans Road, this will help us open cut the last 120m and make our final connections
We are looking to be engineering complete WC 02/06/2025.

Update: 06.05.2025

We currently have two teams working on this project.

Our team working on Beaufort Close hopefully looking to replace this within the next 3 weeks, our current closures will remain until these works have been replaced, we apologise for the inconvenience this is causing and are hoping to have this completed as quickly as possible.

We are moving the location of the closure on St Albans Road to outside 23, works are progressing well, we have another 100m left to open cut.

Update: 22.04.2025

Our WCB Utilities team have completed the connection from Somers Road into St Albans Road. We are now upsizing the gas main through St Albans Road and Brokes Road. We have completed approximately 300m of trench work and w/c 28.04 we will be gassing up 100m of the reinforced main.

This main is being reinforced to allow us to insert the gas main on Reigate Hill in the summer as there have been pressure issues in the area.
