Works on Moncktons Lane are now in their final week of engineering. This will be followed by reinstatement works and site clearance. 

WCB Utilities Ltd Project Calder Road, Maidstone (Moncktons Lane)

Works have commenced on Moncktons Lane at the junction with Sandling Road under temporary traffic signal control.

Investigation works have identified an unrecorded gas main. Once the necessary requirements for both mains have been confirmed, works will progress accordingly.  

Update: 14.01.2026

We are scheduled to start works on Moncktons Lane on 26th January. These works will be carried out under a restrictive road closure between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. The first phase will be managed using three-way traffic lights at the junction with Sandling Road.
