Last week, the team carried out live insertion works on the southern main on Davidson Road, from the junction with Lower Addiscombe Road to the junction with Alexandra Place. They also completed live insertion works between properties 52 and 70.
This week, the team will carry out live insertion works on the northern main between properties 31 and 219.
Next week, the team will abandon approximately 190 metres of the existing northern main, from property 79 to property 155.

• Davidson Road: Due to open on 26 October 2026

Last week, preparation works were carried out on Davidson Road ahead of the main installation works.
This week, we are completing approximately 150m of live gas insertion, starting from the junction with Alexandra Place and progressing towards Stretton Road.
Next week, we plan to carry out approximately 100m of gas main insertion, starting from Alexandra Place and progressing towards Lower Addiscombe Road. The connection to the existing main on the opposite side of the road will also be completed.
