PROJECT: SOE15606

Location: Ellerton Road, Wimbledon

(Camberley Avenue / Taunton Avenue)

Update: 29.04.2026

Project complete.

Update: 01.04.2026

Over the past two weeks, the team has been working in Camberley Avenue, progressing works to complete the new gas main installation.

This week, the team will complete the connection to West Barnes Lane and continue works slightly into Taunton Avenue.

Unfortunately, following this phase, the team will need to return at a later date to complete the remaining works in Taunton Avenue. This is due to ongoing discussions regarding a potential upgrade to increase pressure capacity within the close.

Once confirmation has been received, a new date will be scheduled and residents will be notified in advance of when the team will return to complete the works.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank residents for their patience and understanding while these works are completed.

We thank all residents for their patience and cooperation while we carry out these essential improvements to the local gas network.

Update: 05.11.2025

Project Complete for Now – Returning December.

Update: 21.10.2025

Good news — our team has now completed all gas mains replacement works on Drax Avenue.
The current road closure remains in place but will be removed by 24 October 2025.
The team was scheduled to move into Almer Road and Ellerton Road next. However, they’ve been temporarily reassigned to an emergency SGN job in another area for approximately four weeks.
Once that emergency work is complete, the team will first return to Holland Avenue, before moving back into Almer Road and Ellerton Road to continue the planned works.
Residents will receive advance notice before we return, and a road closure will be required at that time to allow the work to take place safely.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while we complete these essential upgrades.
