SOE10961 – Longdon Wood, Keston Park (Forest Drive)

Works on Barnet Wood Road have been completed and site clearance is nearing completion.

Works have now commenced on Forest Drive and are expected to last for approximately three weeks, after which works will progress into Forest Ridge.  

Update: 14.01.2026

Barnet Wood Road is currently closed at the junction with Oakley Road. Due to the location of the gas main, the engineering works have been split into two weeks to help maintain access for residents.

Access will be restricted between 08:30 and 16:30 while works are being undertaken.
Once the works on Barnet Wood Road have been completed, works will commence on Forest Drive.

Park Avenue

Works are now complete, and site clearance is currently being undertaken.

Barnet Wood Road / Forest Drive / Forest Ridge

Works are scheduled to commence on Barnet Wood Road during the week commencing 2 January 2026, under a full road closure. The closure will be located at the junction with Oakley Road and is expected to remain in place for approximately two weeks. Upon completion of these works, activities will progress into Forest Drive and Forest Ridge.

The Glen

Works are now complete, and site clearance is currently being undertaken.

Update: 02.12.2025

Park Avenue

Works are progressing well on Park Avenue, and we have successfully inserted and abandoned over 200 metres of main to date. This week, we aim to be working outside No. 11, after which we will begin works on Elm Walk.

Holmwood Park Avenue

Works on Holmwood Park Avenue are expected to be completed this week. We are also carrying out preparation works in Pine Glade this week, which will continue into next week. This will allow us to make an early push on the next phase of the programme.

The Glen

We are due to start works on The Glen during the week commencing 8th December. This will take us up to the Christmas break, and the team will complete as much as possible before the shutdown
We will start from the Park Avenue end of the road and work our way towards Elm Walk.

Update: 19.11.2025

Works have recommenced on Holwood Park Avenue and are progressing well. Once these works are completed next week, we will proceed to commence works in Pine Glade.
An additional team will commence works on Park Avenue from Monday.

Update: 31.10.2025

Please be advised that our operatives have been called away to support a high-profile project. As a result, they will be unavailable for their usual duties until the completion of this activity.
They are expected to return and resume normal work activities week commencing 10th November.
We appreciate everyone’s understanding and cooperation during this period.

Update: 08.10.2025

Our team have replaced the gas main in Ninhams Wood, they have now replaced half of the main in Longdon Wood and will continue to replace the opposite side before moving into Beech Dell and Holwood Park Avenue.

The team are making good progress in the roads and will be working in the estate on a variety of roads until March.
