Last week, the team commenced gas mains replacement works on Winterbourne Road. This week, the focus will be on preparatory works, including the excavation and setup required to enable a larger phase of installation to begin next week.
The team expects to remain on Winterbourne Road for approximately four weeks to complete the programme of works. Any customers affected by planned interruptions to their gas supply will be notified in advance. Once the works have been completed, the road closure will be removed.
We would like to thank residents and road users for their continued patience, understanding and cooperation while these essential works are carried out to help maintain a safe and reliable gas network.

Last week the team successfully completed approximately 250 metres of mains replacement on Dubar Avenue.
This week, the road closure has been moved to the four-way junction to allow the team to complete the necessary service connections. This process will continue progressively along the road as the works advance.
We currently anticipate that works on Dubar Avenue will continue for approximately another four weeks until completion. Reinstatement works will follow closely behind the engineering team to ensure the road and surrounding areas are restored as quickly as possible.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation while these essential works are carried out.
