Our WCB Utilities team have now opened Woodchurch road.  We only have a small final connection to do on this road, our team have moved into Knockwood Road and Summer close to finish off this project. Our gas team, reinstatement team and our support drivers have performed to a high level to enable this road to be opened two weeks earlier than our scheduled date.

We have now opened Woodchurch road as we only have a small final connection to do on this road, our team have moved into Knockwood Road and Summer close to finish off this project. Our gas team, our reinstatement team and our support drivers have performed to a high level to enable this road to be opened up two weeks earlier than our scheduled date.

Update: 31.07.2024
Our closure is at the junction of Beacon Oak Road, we have completed the replacement of the gas main between Eastgate Road and Beacon Oak Road. We are now working on the section between Eastgate Road and Knockwood Road.

We are also collaboratively working with the council so they can complete some resurfacing works and install new bus stops, this is to avoid them needing to close the road again in the near future.
