Last week, we successfully completed the live insertion on Carolina Road.
This week, we are laying the new gas main on Carolina Road to connect the two existing mains together and complete works on this road. Preparation works are also underway on Brickfield Road.
Next week, we plan to carry out live insertion works and abandon approximately 170m of existing gs main on Brickfield Road, from the junction with Carolina Road to the junction with Northwood Road. We will also complete the connection into Osterley Gardens.
Carolina Road is due to open on 28/09/26. Brickfield Road is due to close this week and reopen on 23/10/26.
Update: 01.09.2026
Last week, the team continued work on Carolina Road, installing 185 meters of new gas main and completing the connections with Springfield Road and Brickfield Road. The team also abandoned 50 meters of existing gas main.
Next week, the team will remain on Carolina Road to abandon a further 130m of gas main.
