“I just wanted to provide some feedback on the WCB Utilities team currently working in Smallfield, they really are a great team. They have had to deal with complaints from the locals as well as fly tipping, but have dealt with it really well and despite still working in Weatherhill Road yesterday at gone 7.30pm they still remained upbeat and polite. Any queries or questions people had they were happy to do what they could to help. We hear so many negative things nowadays so I thought it would be nice to share my positive interaction with the team.”

“I live in Main Road, Hoo. I would like to say how impressed I have been with the attitude of the men who have been working near my house, Johnny, Mike and Charlie. They came across a problem outside my house (and I think another house a couple of doors away), which they dealt with in the most patient and polite manner, explaining to me at every stage what would happen. I would also like to say how clean and tidy they have left the work area every evening. The weather has been very hot, not ideal working conditions, so I would like to congratulate them on their professionalism. I hope you will pass on this message to those concerned. Thank you.”

” Every person who we came into contact with were very polite and very happy to explain the work giving time scales etc. The inconvenience we had regarding the work was at an absolute minimum and as we were away after the initial digging we informed the workman of this and Mr Rikki Howard contacted us to say upon our return just contact him and he would arrange for our gas main to be reconnected. This was done this morning with no problems whatsoever. “

” All those with whom we spoke were helpful, friendly and expert, starting with 2 guys who knocked after we returned from holiday. Both were friendly and warm whilst working hard. The communication was good – we knew what to expect and when. I can’t imagine what a headache it must be project managing work on this scale and having to deal with SO many people. I feel it was expertly project managed throughout. The disruption was minimal. The outcome was necessary and has been great. Thanks to everyone involved. I really can’t imagine what a mammoth undertaking it’s been! “

They were courteous, helpful and in fact one of the men carried my shopping from the recreation ground to my house for me. “ WCB Utilities have been replacing the gas piping in our road. we wanted to give feedback. The whole team without exception were highly professional. The work was carried out to a very high standard with good working practices. However it was the level of communication which was truly outstanding. At all times we were kept informed of what needed to happen next with the result that we were able to work together and minimise any inconvenience mutually. ” I would like to register my thanks for all of the assistance we have received from those working on the above project. We farm land on either side of Holly Lane, along with other land near Epsom Downs. We would normally move our combine harvester along Holly Lane as the route from Perrotts Farm (Holly Lane), but the works being carried out prevented us from doing so. Having met two representatives on site and subsequently discussed the issue with others, it was agreed that we would use Canons Lane, but that WCB would organise for a no-parking zone to be established. This was done on exactly the day that we requested and we managed to move our combine harvester out and back in without any inconvenience. I would especially like to thank Louie Buckle, Sarah Gardiner, Danny Illsley, Dave Woodcock and Claire for making what could have been a massive problem ‘go away’! Please pass on my heartfelt thanks to them all. “

” The correspondence and communication with the WCB Utilities Project Manager and SGN Representatives was absolutely first class with both companies keeping me and the rest of the neighbourhood updated in respect of the requirement to close roads and what would happen on the day. Which included special provisions put in place for the elderly and vulnerable members of the community. “

” I live on Loose Road Maidstone where you have recently been undertaking gas mains replacement work. It required the closing of Loose Road a major main road for a considerable amount of time. Obviously this resulted in problems for local residents and those using this road but this was alleviated by the attitude of your staff.  The men were not only very hardworking but pleasant and cheerful, they were always ready to answer questions and explain what was going on.  In addition to this we were regularly updated by a very helpful young lady Claire Davis who gave information and was ready to sort out any queries. The project is completed today and I would like to thank all those involved for working so hard to keep us safe, I really appreciate it. “

 ” The gas mains are being upgraded in our road and I just wanted to share my experience with you. WCB Utilities are doing the work in the area and our upgrade was completed less than five weeks ago. Communication from WCB has been excellent. A lady called at the house at least twice during our repairs but we were out, she left a card with details should we have any issues (we didn’t). The young men doing the work were helpful, informative, respectful and efficient. The repair to the block paving on our drive was carried out very quickly thanks to your priority services register system. The repair is also very good (much to my Mothers relief). All in all, the lack of accountability from too many organisations in recent years has been terrible but this experience with the gas mains replacement has restored my faith. You clearly value customer satisfaction and this is a pleasure to see. Well done! “

” I wanted to thank the team carrying out the pipe upgrade works in our close. I’ve been really impressed with the team over the last couple of weeks – They are all a great bunch and are carrying out the work very professionally. All our gardens have been carefully dug up and properly put back together, with care and attention. We are all very grateful for that! They’ve also been careful with safety barriers and protective coverings. I think everyone round here has been impressed with their professionalism. ” I live at Winchelsea Beach, where we are currently having pipe upgrade work carried out. Both myself, and my neighbours have been really impressed. The whole team are doing a professional job. They are incredibly tidy, not easy when they are digging up gardens – but they have left each front garden in a really decent condition. Mine has now been put back, with turf replaced, extra topsoil added and new grass seed laid – I wasn’t expecting that! Everything is safely marked and protected and they have been very respectful in only digging up/moving what is necessary. All the team are friendly and polite and are always helpful when we need to move cars. We seem to be constantly asking them to move about but it’s no bother to them at all. Thank you to all the team for carrying out a really thorough and professional job. If only all contractor teams were like them! “
” I just want to take this opportunity to pass on my sincere thanks and gratitude for the assistance shown to both myself and my wheelchair bound partner whilst you were undertaking gas main work on Northfleet Close. Special thanks must go to the following people: – Claire, who helped address my concerns about my partner’s accessibility into and out of our home and reassured me that any help we needed would be given. Thank you so much Claire. – – Beth (Customer Welfare), Beth introduced herself to us in person when a situation arose that Caroline would be in the house alone whilst I was at work and was unable to open the front door, Beth explained that when the guys needed to come into the property they would call out and Caroline would know they were coming in. This made Caroline feel at ease as she is very vulnerable and anxious due to her recent leg amputation. Beth also supplied us with a heater and an electric hob in case we needed them whilst our gas supply was off. – – Ian Punton, Ian also personally introduced himself to both my partner and I and explained what works needed to be done, when I mentioned about wheelchair access to and from the car park Ian very kindly made a ramp out of tar up to the path edge to manoeuvre the wheelchair to and from the property, this was a very kind gesture from Ian and very much appreciated. Ian also very kindly gave me 2 bags of tar so I could make a ramp for my partners wheelchair when we move in with her father at the end of the month, again, this was a very kind and unexpected gesture of goodwill. – I would also like to express my gratitude to two other guys, Aaron and Joe who very kindly reconnected our gas first out of all the other residents of the close. – These people are a credit to your company. Thank you again so much. ”
