Works have commenced on Chuters Grove, where an additional gas main has been identified at the rear of the close following investigation. Further investigations are required to determine the function of this main, after which the replacement of the existing gas main will begin.

Upon completion, works will proceed to Conaways Close. Although the programmed start date is 02/02/2026, it is anticipated that works will commence later this week.

Update: 14.01.2026

Works on Hessle Grove have been slightly delayed, which has had a knock-on effect on the start of works in Shaw Close. Works in Shaw Close will now commence on 19th January.

Once works in Shaw Close are completed, the team will move on to Chuters Grove.

Update: 17.12.2025

Works on Hessle Grove are approximately 50% complete, and the site will be closed for the Christmas period. In addition, works are programmed to commence on Shaw Close during the week commencing 12 January 2026.

Update: 02.12.2025

Works are currently underway on Windmill Avenue. We are experiencing some issues with parked vehicles, which we hope will not cause delays to the programme. Engineering works are expected to continue up to the week commencing 15th December, when we plan to start works on Hessle Grove before the Christmas shutdown.
We will then return to site after the Christmas break to continue the programme.

Update: 19.11.2025
