Last week, the team installed 75m of new gas main along Stoughton Avenue, progressing up to Tilehurst Road.

This week, the team will abandon 100m of existing metallic gas main, continuing towards the entrance of Cheam Fields Primary School.

Next week, the team will complete the abandonment works along Stoughton Avenue and make the connection with Chatsworth Road.   

WCB Utilities Ltd Project Church Hill Road, Sutton

Our WCB Utilities team, are starting a new project this week, beginning on Stoughton Avenue.

The work involves laying approximately 250 meters of new gas main, followed by the abandonment of around 122 meters of the existing main next week.

To safely carry out the work and necessary reinstatement, Stoughton Avenue will remain closed for the next three weeks, until the 27th of August. We appreciate your patience and understanding while these essential improvements are completed.

Northfield Crescent completed and Abbotts Road main was found to already be decommissioned.

Our WCB Utilities team have started in Abbotts Road but have found that the main we were due to replace has been abandoned already so we are now working Northfield Crescent.

Works are progressing well in Wrayfield Road and Hayes Crescent, week commening 31.03.25 we will be in Netley Close.

Works are progressing well in Hilbert Road and are nearly completed, works will continue on Wrayfield Road this week and next week.
