We have now got two teams working on Holly Lane to ensure these works are completed by 31/08. The open cut trench last week was reinstated down to Great Ellshams, allowing our closure to move further down and allow those out north onto Garrard’s Road. The team will be looking to finish engineering works on Thursday allowing for Backfill on Friday and tarmac Saturday for Sunday site clearance.

Our team last week had open cut 200m of ground to be able this week to lay the new larger ipe and look to reinstate this section next week moving down past the junction of Great Ellshams.
Our team will then look to open cut a further 80m and repeat the same process.
The team are still working until the first week of September and if anything still remains, this will b completed in 2027 as road space in the area for 2026 is already taken.
Update: 29.07.2025
Our closure is now in pace on Holly Lane at the junction of Garrads Road this will be in place for at least 3 weeks while our team works on the first section of Open cut works.
Once past the junction of Great Elsham’s the team will look to move our closure down to just past this section to carry on with the remaining open cut works.
This project will be complete only during the summer holidays and we will try to have this completed so we won’t have to return.
