Last week, the team successfully completed all planned works on Woodcote Avenue, enabling the full 125 metres of gas main to be replaced within a single week.
This week, the team has moved into Penshurst Road, where the remaining works will be carried out over a two-week period.
Once these works are complete, the engineering team will have finished all planned activity in the area. However, residents may continue to see our reinstatement team on site as they carry out final reinstatement works, clear the site, and prepare the road for reopening.
We would like to thank residents for their continued patience, understanding, and cooperation while these essential works are carried out to help maintain a safe and reliable gas network.

This week, the team is scheduled to complete all remaining on Boswell Road.
Reinstatement will follow behind next week and then the closure will look to be removed along with any other site content.
This team will then move into Woodcote Avenue, for one week to try and complete all 120m and 20 service in this road.
We will have n\other team looking to start in the area w.c 15/06 on Penshurst Road for around 2 weeks to complete all engineering works.

This week, the team is scheduled to complete all works on Brook Road, with reinstatement works following immediately behind to restore all excavation areas to their original condition.
The team will then move to Boswell Road from Monday 18 May to continue the essential gas mains replacement programme, progressing along the full length of the road.
Works on Boswell Road are currently anticipated to take approximately four to five weeks. Upon completion, the road will be reopened to through traffic.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation while these works are carried out and apologise for the duration of these essential upgrades.

Over the past couple of weeks, the team has completed all mains replacement works in Elliott Road, which has now been fully cleared. Works have also been completed in Carew Road and Melfort Avenue.
Reinstatement works are now following behind, and we are aiming to have these roads fully reopened as soon as possible.
The team has now progressed into Brook Road, where works are being carried out under a road closure. They are expected to remain in this road for approximately a further two weeks before moving into Boswell Road.
The team is currently completing around 100–150 metres of gas mains replacement per week, and works in this area will continue for some time as the programme progresses.
