Over the past three weeks, the team has been carrying out gas mains replacement works on The Avenue. This week is expected to be the final week of engineering works, after which the reinstatement team will follow to restore the affected areas. In total, approximately 1,000 metres of new gas main will have been installed in just under four weeks.
From next week, the team will move to Crickets Hill for approximately one week to complete the majority of the planned works on this road. While access may be restricted at times, every effort will be made to minimise disruption and maintain access for residents wherever possible.
Following completion of works on Crickets Hill, the team will move to Mid Street for the next phase of the project. These works will take place throughout the summer holiday period and into September, beginning near the school before progressing back towards The Avenue.

Over the past few weeks, the team has successfully completed the replacement of the gas mains in Braes Mead, Ridge Green, and Ridge Green Close. Last week, the team also completed all planned gas main replacement works on Holmesdale Road.
This week, the team has moved into The Avenue, where a road closure has been implemented for the next four weeks. During this period, the team aims to replace just under 1,000 metres of gas main.
Due to the presence of two gas mains within The Avenue, a full road closure is required to allow the works to be carried out safely and efficiently.

Over the last couple of weeks, the team have been working inside Ridge Green and Ridge Green Close, looking at completing this road w.c 01/06.
The team will help with reinstatement next week and help clear all the site content to get this road cleared asap.
