PROJECT: SOE15091
Location: Montague Close, Sutton
(Ross Road, Rectory Lane)
Update: 29.04.2026
We currently have two teams working on this project, operating in separate areas to ensure the works are completed as efficiently as possible.
Team 1 has been working in Ross Road for the past couple of weeks and is aiming to complete all engineering works by the week commencing 4 May.
Reinstatement works will follow closely behind, and once completed, the road closure will be removed, along with all excess barriers, traffic management, and remaining site equipment.
Team 2 is currently working on Rectory Lane, where works have been ongoing for approximately two weeks under a road closure. The closure will move progressively along the road as the team advances.
This week, the team will be working around the layby section from Northway to Southway, completing the main insertion. The service connections for this section are planned for next week.
The team is expected to remain on Rectory Lane for approximately another four weeks to ensure all works are completed safely and efficiently.
We thank everyone for their patience and cooperation while these essential works are carried out.

During this week, the team will also complete any outstanding reinstatement works in Collyer Avenue, with the road expected to be fully cleared by 7 April 2026.
Team Two is currently working in Lynwood Gardens and is aiming to complete works in this area within the next couple of weeks.
We would like to thank residents and road users for their continued patience and cooperation while these works are completed.
Update: 17.03.2026
We currently have two teams working on this project, both operating in separate roads to ensure the works are completed as efficiently as possible.
Team One is currently working in Oakley Avenue and anticipates completing the works within the next two weeks. Reinstatement will then take place. While this is underway, the team will move on to Bandon Rise to begin the next phase of the project.
Team Two is currently working in Cherry Hill Gardens. The majority of works were completed last week, with the final engineering tasks scheduled to be finished this week. Once completed, the team will move into Lynwood Gardens, where works are expected to continue for approximately three weeks.
Both teams are working efficiently to complete the project with minimal disruption. If anyone has any questions regarding the works in the area, the teams on site will be happy to assist and provide further information.
Update: 10.02.2026
Works on Godson Road are now underway. The engineering works are expected to be completed this week, after which we will carry out reinstatement and site clearance.
Following this, we will be moving our site operations to Aldwick Road.
Update: 27.01.2026
The final section of works on Lodge Avenue is now being completed, and the temporary reversal of the one-way system will remain in operation.
Works are due to commence on Godson Road on Monday 02/02/2026. During which time the original one-way system will remain in place throughout the duration of the works.
Update: 14.01.2026
Works are progressing well on Limes Avenue. We are currently working our way around the estate towards the Wandle side, after which we will complete the remaining section on Lodge Avenue. Once these works are finished, we will begin on Godson Road, where the original one-way system will remain in place for the duration of the works.
Update: 17.12.2025
Limes Avenue is scheduled to be closed on 5 January 2026. During this period, access will be maintained via Lodge Avenue, which will require a temporary reversal of the existing one-way traffic order on these roads. Works will then progress into Wandle Side, concluding on Lodge Avenue.
