Our team is currently working on Dalmeny Road under a road closure, carrying out the upsizing of the existing gas main. These works are being undertaken to improve and increase local gas pressure capacity during periods of high demand.
The team is expected to remain on site for approximately a further three weeks to complete the open-cut installation works and connect all existing services to the new main and reinstatement.
Throughout the programme, every effort is being made to minimise disruption by keeping excavation areas as compact as possible and carrying out reinstatement works promptly as sections are completed.
The team this week, are looking to gas up a further 50m and x10 services and be past the junction of Hawthorne Avenue. Next week we are aiming to try and get all completed and the followed by a further week for reinstatement.

We currently have two teams working on this project, operating in separate areas to ensure the works are completed as efficiently as possible.
Team One has spent the last few weeks working on Mount Park and Mount Way, completing the main insertion works and renewing all associated services in this section.
Last week, the team completed all engineering works in this area, and the reinstatement team is now following behind to ensure the road can be reopened as quickly as possible.
The team has now moved into Hawthorn Avenue to replace the gas main in this road and is aiming to complete this section during the course of this week.
Team Two is currently working on Dalmeny Road under a road closure, carrying out the upsizing of the original gas main. This work is being undertaken to improve and increase local gas pressure capacity during periods of high demand.
This team is expected to remain on the project for approximately another four weeks to complete the open-cut works and connect all services to the new main.

Our WCB Utilities team are currently working on Pine ridge where we are experiencing poor pressure issues, works still progressing well.

We have currently closed Windborough Road at the junction of Stanley Park Road. We have also started works on Pine Ridge and will get up to the junction of Cranfield Road East before we close for Christmas.
