Our WCB Utilities team have now completed this project.
Update: 29.08.2024
Engineering works have been completed up to the junction of Wakeley Road. We will need to return next summer holidays to complete the rest of these works. Site clearance is now taking place.
Update: 15.08.2024
Week commencing 12.08.2024 we are aiming to complete the renewal between William Street and Henry Street. W/c 19.08 we will have the final section of Taswell Road to complete with our final week being spent connecting Taswell Road gas mains into Wakeley Road mains.

This week we will have completed one side of Taswell Road and we will be moving over to the opposite side w/c 05.08.2024 working from Warlingham Close to Henry Street.

We have two mains on either side of the road that we are replacing and require a road closure to safely complete our works.
We will complete one side first which will be the even side with our closure from Pearman Close to Warlingham Close, we will then work on the other side of Taswell Road from Warlingham Road to Wakeley Road.
There will be a road closure on Wakeley Road towards the last three weeks of the summer holidays, this is to complete the last sections of gas mains replacement on this road. We will be completely 1000m of replacement in this 6 week period.
