Project complete.

Update: 21.10.2025

We currently have no closures in place on this project, with all works now being carried out under a give-and-take traffic management system. Progress is going well and we anticipate completion of the main works by the end of this week. This will be followed by reinstatement and site clearance, which are scheduled to take place during the following week.

Works are progressing well, the closure point has moved to Montague Close jucntion with Sidney Road. We are working in Alpine Road once we have completed this section, works will finish on Montague Close.

We are currently working on the last section of Sidney Road at the junction of Montague Close, this will then allow us to open up Sidney Road, once we have finished with these roads we will work into Alpine Road and Montague Close where this project will finish.

Works have been completed on Terrace Road and lights will be removed Friday.
We will continue to work on Sidney Road once completed we will work into Alpine Road/ Churchfield Road and Firs Close.

Update: 29.07.2025

Works have now ceased on Sidney Road. Week commencing 11/08/2025 we will be on Terrace Road with 3 way traffic lights.

Update: 08.07.2025

Works have now been completed on Dudley Road and we have now moved to Sidney Road, we have got a road closure in place to stop the through traffic, we are on this road for 3 weeks before Summer holiday works start on Terrace Road.

We are currently working in Dudley road and works are progressing well due to the extra main needed to be replaced this has delayed us by a week.

Our WCB Utilities team have completed Cottimore Lane and the road closure has been removed, we do need to return after the Summer holidays.
We are currently working in Dudley road and we have found that our metallic main that is due to be replaced carries on further than expected do this might cause a slight delay

We have completed the high risk main and decommissioned this section. We have found additional unrecorded mains in this area so we will be looking to return in the summer to complete the replacement of all the gas main on Terrace Road but our priority was the high risk pipe.
Our team are now working there was along Cottimore Lane from Terrace Road junction to Cottimore Avenue.
